Important Disclaimer of Liability
The Monitra Android mobile application and website serve strictly as an informational diagnostic tool designed for reading standard OBD-II / SAE J1979 vehicle parameters. The developers and software owners accept NO responsibility or liability whatsoever for your vehicle's technical condition, potential hardware damage, data misinterpretation, or repair decisions made based on application readouts. You use this software entirely at your own risk.
1. Disclaimer of Liability and Warranty
1.1. Monitra presents vehicle metrics exactly as transmitted by your vehicle's ECU controller and the connected ELM327 adapter. The developers do not guarantee complete error-free readouts or 100% compatibility across all vehicle makes, models, or third-party Bluetooth dongles.
1.2. Any driving decisions, maintenance procedures, or mechanical modifications performed remain the sole responsibility of the user.
2. Data Protection and User Privacy
2.1. No Personal Data Tracking or Collection: Neither the Monitra Android mobile app nor this website collect, log, store on external servers, or sell any personal user data (such as name, email address, phone number, or precise GPS location history).
2.2. Strictly Local Data Storage: All recorded trip sessions, parameter histories, and application preferences are stored exclusively on your local Android device storage (LocalStorage / Capacitor Native Storage).
2.3. Optional AI Report Data Processing: When you choose to trigger the optional AI Diagnostic Report generation, only raw, anonymous numerical parameter strings (e.g., speed, engine RPM, coolant temperature) are transmitted ephemerally to the AI processing API. This data is completely stripped of any personal identifiers, vehicle VIN numbers, or any linkable personal information. Data is processed solely in volatile memory to generate the report text and is not retained or associated with any individual.
3. Android Hardware Permissions (Bluetooth & Location)
The Android mobile application requires Bluetooth access to connect to the ELM327 OBD-II adapter interface. Location permissions (mandated by Android OS for scanning nearby Bluetooth devices on older Android versions) are used strictly for Bluetooth pairing and are never used to track user movement or location.
4. Contact & Inquiries
If you have any questions regarding the operation of the Monitra Android mobile app or this Privacy Policy, please contact us via the official Monitra channels.
